ARTIST STATEMENT:

Growing up near the ocean has provided me with a great inspiration for my paintings. My goal is to express the ethereal and tranquil feeling I have when I am visiting the beach. Seashells tend to be a reoccurring theme in my work as the shell is a defining icon of the sea and can take on multiple meanings. This includes journey, protection, fertility and the interconnectedness of nature. I am fascinated by the details and artistry that encompasses them.
